Rieker's Meats

To make your sweets at home, we offer a full line of Dr. Oetker products, including vanilla sugar, baking powder, pudding mix (vanilla, chocolate, raspberry, almond, lemon and cream), Whip It, Clear and Red Glaze, Gustin, Kartoffelmehl, Yeast, Palmin, Vanilla beans, an assortment of flavor essences (rhum, orange, vanilla, and arack) and cake mixes (Apple Streusel, Black Forest, Tiramisu, German Streusel and Marble). We also carry Back Oblaten, Tortenboden, Chocofix and a variety of preserves and fruits, including Mirabellen, for filling your creations.

We import a delicious German Markenbutter.

For kids and adults alike, we offer licorice (Katjes, Salmiak pastillen, Kookaburra), Fizzy Cola, Johannisbeer gummis, assorted hard candies, Softis, Dextro Energie and, of course Gummi Bears!

Alongside our delicious meats is an impressive selection of cheeses. We offer Edam, Tilsit, Limburger, Hand Cheese (harzerkaese), Kochkaese, Bier Cheese, Butter Cheese, Swiss, American, Mozzerela, Munster, Havarti, Cambozola and Brie.

Our chocolate selection will satisfy every sweet tooth. We carry Milka, Ritter Sport, Lindt and Niedenegger Luebeck, with every conceivable flavor. The favorites are alpenmilch and marzipan, but the list of options is impressive, from Intense Orange to rum/raisin/hazelnut to dark chocolate with whole hazelnuts. We also carry Schicht Nougat and even Kinderschokolade.

To satisfy your sweet tooth, we offer Manner Schnitt wafers in assorted varieties, Bahlsen Butter cookies, Choco Leibniz, Hannover Waffeln, Butter Leaves, Kipferl and Probiers. From Hans Freitag we offer Milch Waffeln, Delise, Desiree, Favorit, and Noblesse. We also carry Lemon and Orange staebchen, Hit, Waffeleten, Zwieback and more!

Finish your meal with Dr. Oetker mousse mixes (chocolate, double chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, creme brulee) or Kathi mixes for poppyseed loaf, lemon cake, streusel or marble cake.

Although we make our own Spaetzle, we also import several varieties, such as Hofbauer, Panni, Bechtle, Maggi, Riehle and Black Forest Girl.

We carry small packets of farina to make dumplings for your soup or broth.

We offer Rollmops, Bismarck herring, Matjes filets, Herring Salad, Brathering, Seelachs, Herring in Aspic, and a variety of herring tims with flavord sauces, such as mustard, mushroom and burgundy sauce.

We have a gravy for any meal. From Knorr and Maggi, you can choose among Jaeger, Braten, Gefluegel, Rahm, Pfeffer, and more!

At long last, we have found an imported Laugenbretzel worthy of comparing to the ones you remember from Germany. They are par-baked in Germany and shipped frozen. You need only heat them up at home.

No sandwich is complete without good condiments, and we offer a full selection, including Loewensenf (hot or sweet), Thomy Tubensenf (mild, hot or sweet), Gundelsheim mustard, Duesseldorf mustard, Horseradish mustard, Kuehne mustard, Hengstenberg mustard, as well as Thomy Tuben-Remouladensosse, Thomy Mayonnaise, and several varieties of Curry Ketchup.

We have a large selction of pickles from Gundelsheim and Henstenberg, as well as Senfgurken (mustard pickles), Pickled Celery Slices, Red Cabbage (with and without apple) and, of course, Sauerkraut.

From Panni, Kartoffelland and Hero, we offer potato pancake mixes and dumpling mixes.

We carry Nutella, Plum butter (Pflaumenmus), Apple butter, Sugar beet syrup and a myriad of preserves and jams, including lingonberry, rosehip, quince, red currant, black currant, as well as the usual suspects, such as cherry, apricot and blueberry. We do NOT carry grape jelly!

South Philly Jewish Rye is delivered to our store daily. In addition, every Tuesday we receive a shipment of double-crusted Rudolph's rye bread from Canada, including Linseed, Schinkenbrot, Farmer's Festival, Holsteiner, Kommisbrot, Five Grain and Herzhafte Stulle. Every other Tuesday we receive a shipment of Dimpflmeier rye, also from Canada, including Klosterbrot, Seven Grain, and the enormous, ten pound "Big Rudy" Schwartzbrot (which we will gladly cut down to size, but not slice.)

The famed Salat Kroenung is available in a huge assortment of varieties!

For every seasoning need, we carry Knorr Aromat (for beef and chicken), Vegeta, Hungarian Sweet Paprika, Maggi in various sizes, sauerbraten spices and bohnenkraut.
